Jenny And Lee’s Retelling Of A Raucous Night Out On Gogglebox Could Not Be More Jenny And Lee

Gogglebox made a welcome return to our screens on Friday night, bringing with it more capers and banter from its stars.

Jenny and Lee were among those back to give their verdict on the week’s telly, but provided a TV moment of their own as they recounted a wild night out while watching an episode of Netflix drama You.

The BFFs recalled once visiting Liverpool with a mutual friend called Jane, which ended in typically chaotic fashion.

“We went in that bedroom with seven beds,” Jenny said.

“In the morning, you couldn’t find your knickers!” Lee said.

“I couldn’t find my frock! My knickers, my frock — I couldn’t find anything!” Jenny added, prompting a roar of laughter from her pal.

“Really good night you had!” he quipped.

“I know, I was sat there really quiet thinking: ‘Oh god, what happened? Oh god… oh no, I hadn’t done nowt bad,’” she added.

In a clip promoting Gogglebox’s return on the pair’s joint Instagram account earlier this week, Jenny described how the pair were “still the same and still sat on the same, sodding lumpy cushion”.

Lee laughed and said “still as daft as ever” – and we’re pleased to report that definitely seems to be the case.

Never change please, you two.

Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Succession To End After Season 4 And Shocked Fans Are Not OK

News that the upcoming season of Succession will be its last has got the show’s loyal fanbase well and truly in its feelings.

In an interview with the New Yorker published on Thursday night, Succession creator and writer Jesse Armstrong confirmed that the award-winning drama would not continue past season four.

He explained: “I’ve never thought this could go on forever. The end has always been kind of present in my mind.

“From season two, I’ve been trying to think: Is it the next one, or the one after that, or is it the one after that?”

Jesse added: “I got together with a few of my fellow writers before we started the writing of season four, in about November, December, 2021, and I sort of said, ‘Look, I think this maybe should be it. But what do you think?’.

“And we played out various scenarios: We could do a couple of short seasons, or two more seasons. Or we could go on for ages and turn the show into something rather different, and be a more rangy, freewheeling kind of fun show, where there would be good weeks and bad weeks. Or we could do something a bit more muscular and complete, and go out sort of strong. And that was definitely always my preference.”

With just a few short weeks to go until season four’s debut, the news that the end of Succession is nigh caught a lot of fans off guard, and it’s fair to say they’re not taking it all that well…

Meanwhile, others took a rather different view, and chose to celebrate the fact that Succession will be going out on a high, rather than having the quality dip if the story were to be dragged out longer than necessary…

And here’s what the rest of Twitter had to say…

Since its debut in 2018, Succession has been met with huge critical acclaim, landing 48 Emmy nominations and a total of 14 wins.

These include individual victories for cast members Jeremy Strong and Matthew Macfadyen, as well as two Outstanding Drama Series wins.

The first three seasons of Succession are now available to watch in full on Now, with the fourth kicking arriving on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK on 27 March.

Denise Welch Shuts Down Rumours Of ‘Backstage Feuds’ Among Loose Women Stars

Denise Welch has dismissed speculation about fall-outs behind the scenes of Loose Women.

Over the years, the ITV daytime show has been at the centre of several ‘feud’ reports, which the long-serving panellist has admitted “upsets” her.

Speaking to The Sun, Denise insisted that while her co-stars can get involved in some “very feisty debates”, they are all “great friends”.

“I’m not afraid to be passionate and committed about something, we all have different views, we’re great friends,” she said.

“I do get upset that people are trying to make out that we’re always in some backstage feud. I haven’t fallen out with any of them in 20 years – but we have very feisty debates.”

Denise added: “It’s a show that encourages and appreciates older women, so we’re all going to be a bit set in our ways because we all have our own opinions.”

The former Coronation Street actor is the latest in a line of Loose Women stars to publicly refute claims of drama backstage on the show.

Jane Moore told OK! magazine last year: “In the ad breaks, we’ll say, ‘that [debate] was a bit fiery, wasn’t it?’. [But] I have an issue when people say, ‘Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha cat fight on Loose Women’. Please, come on, we’re past that.

“They never do it about two blokes on a news programme and it’s so lame. Let’s move on, we’re not in the 1950s anymore. But we take it in our stride and get on with it.”

Meanwhile, anchor Charlene White branded claims about feuds “absolute nonsense”, insisting: “When you’re on the outside looking in and you see all those stories… written about the ladies on the panel, you have an impression of what it’s going to be like. Then you walk into this amazing group of women and realise that everyone’s incredibly supportive.”

Frankie Bridge also called out the double standard when it comes to reporting about the Loose Women panellists.

“I think it’s sad that this doesn’t happen on something like A League of Their Own with a group of men. It’s just not mentioned. And coming from a girl band, it’s exactly the same thing,” she said.

“Everyone always wants women to fight and it’s a real shame that it undoes all the good that Loose Women does.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.

Love Island can count another big A-list star among its fans after Lizzo revealed she’s been watching the reality show.

The About Damn Time singer joins the likes of Margot Robbie and Amy Schumer in her fandom of the ITV2 reality show, which is currently airing its ninth series.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night, Lizzo admitted she had been learning British slang while watching Love Island – although there is one phrase that has her pretty confused.

“I watch Love Island,” she told the host. “There’s a lot of ‘mug off’, ‘I feel like a mug’.

“I’m like, what’s a mug? A mug is what you drink coffee out of… How can you feel like a ceramic cup?!” she said.

Last year, Lizzo admitted she’d once put Love Island on to “fall asleep” to and praised contestant Indiyah Polack.

Margot Robbie has previously been among Love Island’s most high-profile fans.

In 2020, the Hollywood actor made headlines when she was caught on camera gleefully meeting former contestants at the Birds Of Prey premiere in London.

After posing for snaps with the group, it was revealed she later slid into Lucie Donlan’s DMs to invite the group back to a post-film event, which later saw them heading back to her apartment for an after-party.

She also themed her 31st birthday party around Love Island, with an outdoor bash inspired by the hit reality show.

Last year, Margot also revealed that she and The Suicide Squad director James Gunn also chatted about the villa drama during filming for the DC film.

She told ITV’s Lorraine: “We probably spoke about Love Island more than we spoke about this film while we were on set.”

The Graham Norton Show airs on Fridays at 10.35pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
