Fans Think Zendaya’s First Tattoo Is A Tribute To Tom Holland Amid Engagement Rumours

With the whole world currently speculating about whether Zendaya and Tom Holland are really engaged, fans think they’ve spotted another sign of the Euphoria star’s devotion to her long-term partner.

On Sunday night, Zendaya made headlines when she was pictured sporting a dazzling ring on what is traditionally considered the engagement finger on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Following this, multiple US outlets reported that the Spider-Man co-stars are now engaged, although the two actors are currently keeping schtum about the rumours.

However, it wasn’t just Zendaya’s ring that caught fans’ eyes on the Golden Globes red carpet.

Many also pointed out that it looks like the Challengers performer has had her first ink in tribute to her rumoured fiancé.

Zendaya’s strapless dress on the red carpet appeared to reveal a lower-case “t” tattooed on her ribcage.

Coupled with these latest engagement rumours, you can imagine that this sparked a big reaction from her devoted fans on social media…

Another clip filmed at this year’s Golden Globes ceremony appears to depict Zendaya showing off her engagement ring to movie producer Amy Pascal…

The Los Angeles Times also reported that a newly-engaged reporter for the outlet shared a wordless exchange with Zendaya over their rings – although they crucially noted that she never actually confirmed whether or not she is engaged herself.

According to TMZ, the two are freshly engaged, after Tom allegedly popped the question over the festive period.

HuffPost UK has contacted Zendaya and Tom Holland’s teams for comment.

Zendaya and Tom had already been dating for several years before they confirmed they were an item in 2021, having met on the set of the superhero movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The pair are currently gearing up to share the screen once again in Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan’s follow-up to his hit film Oppenheimer, which will be an adaptation of the epic The Odyssey.

Considering they’re arguably the “it” couple in Hollywood right now, you actually see Tom Holland and Zendaya out and about together a lot less than you might expect.

And the British actor has said there’s a good reason for this.

In a wide-ranging new interview with Men’s Health, Tom opened up about keeping a low-profile, particularly when it comes to premieres for his girlfriend’s projects.

He explained that even when he attends premieres of the Challengers star’s shows and films, he tends not to walk the red carpet alongside her so as not to distract from her moment in the spotlight.

“It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he claimed.

An exception to this would be Marvel’s Spider-Man movies, in which they appear together as Peter Parker and MJ.

Tom went on to say that while he typically avoids public appearances – and trips to the theatre need to be “booked in advance” to avoid a furore – he isn’t above doing his own grocery shopping.

In fact, he recently had to dissipate a brawl at a Whole Foods in LA, recalling to the men’s magazine: “[Two men were] like going at it, right behind me. I can see that [one of them] recognised me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, ‘I’m really angry, but Spider-Man is telling me to calm down’.”

He also shared that he plans to retire from public life once he becomes a dad, claiming: “When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. [My life will be] golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”

Zendaya And Tom Holland’s Height Difference Made This Spider-Man Stunt Super Tricky

Tom Holland may have played the superhero in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but it was Zendaya who helped her shorter co-star make a tricky landing.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, the pair explained how their height difference made one stunt in particular more complicated to execute.

“Spider-Man swings us on top of a bridge and he places me there. … So he’s supposed to gently rest MJ [Zendaya] on the bridge and walk away from her,” Zendaya said.

But according to the Euphoria actor, who is taller than Tom, the two were attached together for the stunt and she would land on the ground before he did.

Tom then joked that although he plays the superhero and is “supposed to look cool,” Zendaya would land on the ground first while his feet would swing from underneath him.

“And then she would catch me,” he continued, as the two stood up to demonstrate how the landing played out during filming.

Zendaya said Tom was “lovely” about the whole thing. (See the clip below.)

Outside of discussing their landing techniques for action films, the two remain relatively private about their personal lives ― especially their long-rumored romance.

Tom did discuss their off-screen relationship in a cover story for GQ’s Men of the Year issue last month, saying that fame has robbed them of their privacy.

The actor addressed paparazzi photos published over the summer that showed the pair kissing at a traffic light in Los Angeles.

“A moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world,” he said.

But Tom didn’t divulge much further, explaining that it wasn’t his story to tell.

“It’s our story,” he said.
