Billy Porter Apologises To Harry Styles After Vogue Dress Comments: ‘It’s Not About You’

The Pose star went on to suggest that he “personally changed the game” for men choosing to embrace skirts and dresses as part of their wardrobe.

However, it seems he’s now had something of a change of heart.

Apologising to the former One Direction star during an interview on Stephen Colbert’s US talk show, Billy said: “Harry Styles, I apologise to you for having your name in my mouth.

“It’s not about you. The conversation is not about you. The conversation is actually deeper than that. It is about the systems of oppression and erasure of people of colour who contribute to the culture.”

He added: “I’m sorry, Harry. I didn’t mean no harm. I’m a gay man. We like Harry Styles, he’s cute!”

Alongside his photo-shoot, Harry told Vogue last year that he thought “clothes are there to experiment with”, with the majority of his fans and peers applauding the cover.

There was a distinct lack of enthusiasm for the cover from certain right-wing critics, though.

This included US conservative pundit Candace Owens, whose comment that she wanted to “bring back manly men” inspired a cheeky response from Harry himself.

Harry Styles Fans Are In Meltdown At Reports He’s Secretly Joined The Marvel Universe

Although rumours had previously surfaced on social media some time ago about Harry’s casting, the apparent confirmation has sent his fans into meltdown…

Eros – who also goes by the name of Starfox – is already familiar to fans of the Marvel comic books.

According to the Marvel Database, the character is a “fun-loving, carefree womanizer” who has “many lovers” and he seeks “out pleasure and recreation on humanoid-inhabited worlds”.

He is also the youngest son of two Eternals, A’Lars and Sui-Lan.

Eternals, directed by Oscar-winner Chloe Zhao, is part of the fourth phase of the MCU, and features immortal aliens who have been secretly living on Earth for thousands of years waiting for the right moment to jump into action.

The cast include Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Brian Tyree Henry, Kit Harington and Salma Hayek.

Harry has launched a Hollywood career after making his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk in 2017.

Earlier this year, he wrapped filming on My Policeman, adapted from the novel of the same name.

The film sees The Crown star Emma Corrin portraying a woman who marries a police officer, played by Harry, who is secretly having a relationship with another man.

Harry is also set to appear in the upcoming psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, the director of which, Olivia Wilde, he began dating last year.

Eternals is released in UK cinemas on 5 November.

Ed Sheeran Admits He Was Actually The Third Choice To Appear In The Film Yesterday

Ed Sheeran made his big-screen acting debut in the 2019 film Yesterday – but he’s admitted the role almost never came to be.

The chart-topping singer played himself in Richard Curtis and Danny Boyle’s musical comedy, which centred around a character who woke up unexpectedly in a world where The Beatles’ music never existed.

However, speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Kids Ask Difficult Questions, Ed disclosed that the part wasn’t actually written for him.

In fact, both Harry Styles and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had turned it down before Ed was approached.

He recalled: “They asked Chris Martin, he said no, they asked Harry Styles, he said no, and I was third choice.”

Film director Danny Boyle previously dismissed the suggestion that Harry was approached for the role, but conceded that the part was originally created with Chris in mind.

“Although Harry Styles was very good in the Chris Nolan film [Dunkirk],” Danny told ABC Radio. “So maybe we would had gone to Harry Styles, if Ed Sheeran had said no.”
