The Bucket List Challenge Is Now a Self-Study Experience

Yesterday we wrapped up the 12th and final Zoom call of the Bucket List Challenge, concluding a deeply immersive journey into identifying and experiencing our true desires. This challenge was an adventure in itself, spanning multiple months and guiding participants through a powerful process of choosing and acting on meaningful life experiences.

The challenge unfolded in three distinct rounds:

  • Round 1 kicked off in September 2024, focusing on the logical and structured approach to decision-making. We explored mental frameworks, practical strategies, and resources to help you break free from hesitation and start moving toward your desired experiences.
  • Round 2, beginning in November 2024, took a vibrational approach. Instead of relying solely on logical reasoning, we invited intuitive alignment and emotional resonance into the decision-making process.
  • Round 3, launching in February 2025 and concluding on March 4th, was about going deep and making decisions with profound personal meaning. This round wasn’t just about picking bucket list items – it was about identity-level shifts, making commitments that activate a re-emergence of one’s true self.

Watching people shift from uncertainty to clarity, especially during yesterday’s final call, was incredibly rewarding. Some breakthroughs weren’t just about what to experience but also who we were becoming in the process.

Our final call ran extra long – 4 hours and 10 minutes – because we went very deep into these transformational decisions with each active participant. It wasn’t just about picking bucket list items. It was about locking in experiences that felt profoundly aligned, exciting, and life-expanding.

Now Available as a Self-Study Experience

Now that the live version is complete, all 12 recorded sessions are available as a self-paced experience. If you missed the live rounds, you can now go through the entire process at your own pace, following along with the same structure and insights that guided the live participants.

The first round is heavy on instruction – it gives you the core tools, decision-making models, and practical strategies for making solid bucket list choices. The second and third rounds are more social and example-driven, so you’ll get to see real people wrestling with their options and ultimately arriving at clarity. Watching these breakthroughs unfold is both inspiring and instructive, especially when you see people making bold decisions in real time.

If you’ve ever felt drawn to living more adventurously, seizing the experiences that call to you, and overcoming the inertia of waiting for “someday,” this challenge is for you. The whole experience is ready for you now.

Bucket List Challenge – Round 2 Begins

Today, November 19, at 11:11 AM Pacific Time, we enthusiastically begin Round 2 of our community Bucket List Challenge. There are 3 rounds total with 4 Zoom calls per round. All the details are spelled out on the Bucket List Challenge page, including the price, which is a very low $333 – so virtually nothing relative to the immense value of massively expanding your experiential range and having some new life experiences that you’d otherwise never get to have.

Yes, you can still join now, and you’ll get all the Round 1 recordings (and those for all three rounds when they’re published). We publish each video to the BLC member portal the same day the live call happens. You can attend any or all of the 8 remaining calls live, or watch the recordings (or both). Same price either way, nice and simple.

Round 1 was a lovely warmup with the encouragement to pick something relatively easy but still richly meaningful. I picked something I’ve never done before, which was to celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). That was my main one for the first round, but I also had many other fascinating new experiences. Here’s a list I recently shared about it in Conscious Growth Club:

  • Celebrating Día de los Muertos with Rachelle for the first time ever. This included learning more about its history and roots, acquiring and setting up decorations in our home (including papel picado), creating our first ofrenda, getting a Día de los Muertos oracle card deck and doing many readings with it (including on a CGC call), going to two local festivals on November 2nd and enjoying music + dance troupes + art + food + vendors + more, acquiring some related art, and connecting a lot more with ancestral energy. This was super lovely all around, and I’m so glad we did it. This was my official selection that I chose during Round 1. I wanted to pick something meaningful and flexible but not overly complex. I’d say this was just perfect for me at this time. It was deeper and richer than I expected, precious even, and I love that we can build upon it in future years.
  • Doing a couple’s MDMA session for the first time ever. We’re still in the ripples of that, which is progressing with more insights and transformations each day. This past week has been the sexiest of my life… so shamelessly slutty. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I seem to be ridiculously happy too. This has really cracked open a ton of fresh insights, shifts, and reframes about relationships, sex, and love – and how simple and natural it can all be when the blocks and filters are swept aside.
  • Making cannabutter for the first time (from 15 different strains) and testing different amounts of it, ranging from about 100mg to 700mg so far. It’s definitely potent, wonderfully well-balanced, and really useful for deep inner journeys. I like how simple and also precise this exploration method is. It’s such an easygoing and cooperative energy to work with. I’m learning to direct the journeys with it more consciously, telling it what I want to work on and then letting it help me. I feel like I’m pulling out a lot of bent nails and pieces of broken glass that were stuck in my human matrix, like I’m doing energy-level surgery and chiropractic adjustments.
  • Trying a new cannabis strain called Strange Haze #8, accepting the invite to define and cast my own intentions and expectations onto it before trying it. It really did flow with what I expected of it.
  • Did a deep cannabis inner journey on a plane for the first time (with two Indica gummies), which was perfect for a 4-hour flight. There was something about being 30,000 feet off the ground that made it extra engaging, whereby the symbolism of being high up was woven into the experience.
  • Trying a new mushroom variety called Goldmember, which is a hybrid of Golden Teacher and Penis Envy. It was surprisingly gentle and also long-lasting in duration. Since I have access to two other varieties too, this opens up more combos to experiment with as well.
  • Went to Chicago and had lots of new experiences there, including as a riverboat tour, hitting up a bunch of museums, and seeing two parades. My favorite part of that trip was seeing a 1921 silent movie (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari) with a live organist. That was such a unique and memorable night – and not something we’d preplanned. We just stumbled upon the theater while walking around.

For Round 2 I’m not prepping a bunch of mental content to share. That was Round 1’s energy, which gave you a very rich and deep framework for identifying, filtering, probing, committing to, and advancing new experiences you’d love to have.

For Round 2 I’m going to host the calls by sensing and flowing where the energy wants to go at each point. The BLC has a consciousness of its own – formed by the collective intentions of everyone participating – and it’s going to take us on a beautiful journey together. All you need to do is show up and be willing to dance with it. I think what it brings up this time will surprise you. I expect to be surprised too because it’s showing me many of the vibes we’ll be working with, but it isn’t showing me the details yet. That tells me it has some surprises up its sleeve.

So please come dance with us through Round 2 of the BLC. Bring your expectations if you wish, but also be open to having them swept aside, so something even better can emerge for all of us.

And oh you’re gonna have so much fun on today’s call. It’s going to be very divergent and creative – and definitely sexy. Don’t wimp out! Show up and participate, and you’ll have a great time!

Skim the details on the Bucket List Challenge invite page if you want, and then follow your heart and trust your intuition, click the Join button on that page, take a minute or two to enroll, and I’ll see you inside!

Join the Bucket List Challenge

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage. – Anaïs Nin

If you’ve ever looked at your bucket list and thought to yourself, Someday I’ll get around to these, this is your invitation to start making these items actually happen. Starting on September 10, 2024 – this Tuesday – I’m hosting a unique Bucket List Challenge to help you bring your most meaningful yet so-far-unrealized dreams to life.

Perhaps you’ve thought of someday hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Or maybe you sense it’s time for a road trip. Have you ever wanted to do one of those 10-day meditation retreats? What about writing that screenplay you’ve always been talking about? Going vegan? Learning Spanish? Learning to lucid dream?

Now is the time to make these dreams happen with abundant support, structure, and accountability.

What is the Bucket List Challenge?

The Bucket List Challenge is about taking those dreams and desires you’ve been sitting on – maybe for years – and finally giving them the attention they deserve.

I’ll be hosting a total of 12 Zoom calls for this challenge, split into three rounds with four calls per round and spread across the next several months – from September 10, 2024 through March 4, 2025. And what a perfect ending day that is, as you march forth into your new reality as someone who pursues your goals and dreams with gusto.

Along the way we can share updates, assess our progress, and cheer each other on. You get to choose your own bucket list goals, and there’s plenty of flexibility to adapt the challenge to fit your personal schedule and flow. All of the calls will be recorded, and you’ll get the recordings too.

This challenge isn’t about rigid rules or strict deadlines; it’s about providing the structure and support you need to finally bring your bucket list items to life. Picture it as a progress-driven group where you’ll steadily move forward, making your life more adventurous and fulfilling. Whether you’re pursuing bold adventures, meaningful personal milestones, or those lingering dreams you’ve been putting off, this is your opportunity to really invest in them and get them done.

How Does It Work?

As part of the Bucket List Challenge, you will:

  • Choose your own bucket list items. You decide what’s important to you, whether it’s a physical challenge, a travel goal, a creative project, or something deeply personal. No one else tells you what to work on. That said, I’ll guide you through a structured process to help you choose.
  • Join Zoom walkthroughs and check-ins. Our live Zoom meetings will give you the chance to share your progress, gain insights, and support your fellow adventurers. This is a great way to stay motivated while you’re turning your dreams into reality.
  • Experience the Power of Collective Support. The magic of the Bucket List Challenge is in doing this together as a community. You’re not doing this alone. Imagine a group of people who are all rooting for you, celebrating your wins, and offering encouragement when things get tough. Each check-in is a chance to not only share your progress but also to be inspired by others’ journeys. Together we’ll create a ripple effect of motivation and momentum.

Rachelle and I are going to do this challenge with you too. What will we pick for our bucket list items? Show up to the calls and find out!

Why Join?

If you’re the kind of person who has a list of experiences you’ve been meaning to get to, but life keeps getting in the way, this challenge is perfect for you. It’s not about doing things quickly or just checking boxes; it’s about diving into the experiences that truly matter to you. You’ll be surrounded by like-minded people who are ready to offer encouragement and share in the excitement of ticking items off their own lists.

By joining you’re saying yes to living a more adventurous, purpose-driven life. You’re making space for the things you truly care about and giving yourself permission to pursue what brings you joy, satisfaction, and growth.

What if you have an inner desire to squeeze more juice out of life but you’re not sure what specific goals to pick? That’s totally fine. Just show up, and I’ll walk you through a process to help you identify and decide where to engage. It’s also very likely that being immersed in this kind of group energy will surface some latent desires.

Signing up is simple. Head over to the Bucket List Challenge page for all the details, and when you’re ready, click the “Join the Bucket List Challenge” button on that page. You’ll be joining a community of people eager to turn their dreams into reality.

18 Artists Who’ve Hit Out At Donald Trump For Using Their Songs

With just a few short months until the US presidential election, it’s not unfair to say that Donald Trump isn’t exactly spoilt for choice when it comes to popular musicians who want to endorse him.

In fact, in the last few weeks alone, a number of artists have spoken out against the former president for featuring their music in his campaign videos or playing it at his rallies.

This is nothing new, though.

Over the years, plenty of singers and bands have hit back at Trump for using their music without permission.

Here’s a look at some of the most high-profile examples…

Beyoncé

via Associated Press

In August 2024, Trump’s spokesperson Steven Cheung shared a video of the Republican candidate accompanied by Beyoncé‘s song Freedom, which has become an anthem of Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign in the last few weeks.

Seemingly unhappy with her song’s usage, reports claimed that Beyoncé had issued the Trump campaign with a cease-and-desist letter, and it didn’t take long before the video in question disappeared from Cheung’s social media page without comment.

Céline Dion

via Associated Press

When Trump played Céline Dion’s My Heart Will Go On at a rally in August 2024, the Grammy winner responded with a blistering statement that made headlines the world over.

“In no way is this use authorised, and Céline Dion does not endorse this or any similar use,” the statement said.

Alluding to the fact the song is most popular for its associations with Titanic, the statement concluded: “And really, THAT song?”

Sinéad O’Connor

via Associated Press

The family of the late Sinéad O’Connor were understandably upset after Nothing Compares 2 U was played at various campaign stops in March 2024.

“It is well known that Sinéad O’Connor lived by a fierce moral code defined by honesty, kindness, fairness and decency towards her fellow human beings,” the Irish singer’s estate said.

“It was with outrage therefore that we learned that Donald Trump has been using her iconic performance of Nothing Compares 2 U at his political rallies. [It is] no exaggeration to say that Sinéad would have been disgusted, hurt and insulted to have her work misrepresented in this way by someone who she herself referred to as a ‘biblical devil’.”

Johnny Marr

via Associated Press

Johnny Marr, best known for his work as lead guitarist in The Smiths, was suitably unimpressed to discover the group’s song Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want had been played at a Trump rally.

“I never in a million years would’ve thought this could come to pass. Consider this shit shut right down right now,” he tweeted.

The musician has been similarly critical when Conservative MPs have tried to align themselves with The Smiths’ music.

Rolling Stones

SIPA USA/PA Images

The Rolling Stones threatened to sue Trump back in 2020, after he used their songs at his election rallies in spite of cease-and-desist directives.

Their 1969 hit You Can’t Always Get What You Want was a frequent choice at Trump’s events, with the band confirming music rights organisation BMI had already notified the then-president’s campaign explaining that the unauthorised use of their songs would break its licensing agreement.

Prior to that, th Rollinge Stones had already complained about Trump using their music during his previous campaign in 2016.

Village People

SIPA USA/PA Images

Also in 2020, Village People’s lead singer Victor Willis asked the president to stop playing songs like Macho Man and Y.M.C.A. if he went through with threats to deploy the military on peaceful protesters in America.

Months later, Trump was seen dancing to Y.M.C.A. at a rally, with Victor telling BBC News: “I don’t endorse Trump, I’ve never endorsed Trump, nor has the Village People.”

When asked what he thought about Trump’s dancing, he laughed and added: “Donald Trump does what Donald Trump does. I’ve never seen him actually put his hands up and make the Y.M.C.A. He’s changed it to M.A.G.A. or something.”

Linkin Park

SIPA USA/PA Images

Linkin Park sent a cease-and-desist letter to Trump when he retweeted a campaign-style video featuring the group’s track In The End back in July 2020.

The pro-Trump video was posted on X (then still known as Twitter) by White House staff member Dan Scavino, which was then shared on the president’s page.

Making their stance explicitly clear, a message was then posted on the band’s Twitter page, which said: “Linkin Park did not and does not endorse Trump, nor authorise his organisation to use any of our music. A cease-and-desist has been issued.”

X later told Sky News that they respond to “valid copyright complaints sent to us by a copyright owner or their authorised representatives”.

Tom Petty

EMPICS Entertainment

The family of the late Tom Petty issued a cease-and-desist order after his song I Won’t Back Down was used at a Trump rally in June 2020.

They said in a statement: “Trump was in no way authorised to use this song to further a campaign that leaves too many Americans and common sense behind.

“Both the late Tom Petty and his family firmly stand against racism and discrimination of any kind. Tom Petty would never want a song of his to be used in a campaign of hate. He liked to bring people together.’’

Neil Young

The singer announced he was intending to sue Trump in August 2020 after one of his songs was played against his wishes during the president campaign rallies despite earlier warnings.

The copyright infringement complaint that was filed read: “This complaint is not intended to disrespect the rights and opinions of American citizens, who are free to support the candidate of their choosing.

“However, Plaintiff in good conscience cannot allow his music to be used as a ‘theme song’ for a divisive, un-American campaign of ignorance and hate.”

Prince

Richard E. Aaron via Getty Images

Prince’s estate hit out at the US president after Purple Rain was used at a rally in Minneapolis, the late singer’s home town, in October 2019.

The late singer’s song was played despite the Trump campaign having previously pledged not to do so a year earlier, following its use in the 2016 election race.

“The Prince estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs,” the estate wrote on Twitter, also sharing the letter the president’s representatives that confirmed it would not use Prince’s music “in connection with activities going forward”.

Brian Wilson and Al Jardine

Scott Dudelson via Getty Images

Beach Boys co-founders Brian Wilson and Al Jardine wanted fans to know they were not part of a fundraising effort for Trump featuring the current incarnation of the band.

In 2020, the Beach Boys performed at a Trump fundraiser in Newport Beach, California. However, that was the current touring version of the group led by Mike Love ― the band’s other surviving co-founder, who has often been at loggerheads with his old bandmates, a Trump supporter.

A spokesperson for Brian and Al told Variety at the time: “We have absolutely nothing to do with the Trump benefit today in Newport Beach. Zero. We didn’t even know about it and were very surprised to read about it in the Los Angeles Times.”

Black Sabbath

Doug Peters/EMPICS Entertainment

In 2019, Sharon Osbourne blasted the US leader for using the Black Sabbath track Crazy Train in a campaign video, and making it clear that Trump was “forbidden” from using her husband Ozzy’s music in future videos or at his rallies.

She went on to suggest that tracks by Kanye West, Kid Rock or Ted Nugent – all of whom have publicly endorsed Trump in the past – might be more appropriate. musical choices for him

Rihanna

SIPA USA/PA Images

Rihanna issued a withering response after learning that her song Don’t Stop The Music was being played at a pro-Trump event in 2018.

She wrote on X: “Not for much longer… me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up!”

Adele

Doug Peters/EMPICS Entertainment

Adele took umbrage with Donald Trump during his 2016 election campaign, when Rolling In The Deep was used repeatedly at his rallies.

In a short but to-the-point statement, her spokesperson said: “Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning.”

R.E.M.

Adele’s statement was somewhat more subdued than R.E.M., who were less-than-thrilled to learn that Trump had been blasting their tune, It’s The End Of The World As We Know It at his rallies prior to the 2016 election.

Frontman Michael Stipe issued a statement telling the then-presidential candidate to “go fuck himself”, making it clear he wanted nothing to do with his ideologies.

Aerosmith

Steven Tyler sent Donald Trump a cease-and-desist letter when he first started using Dream On at his campaigns in 2015.

True to form, Trump responded on X that he’d already found a “better song” to replace Dream On, adding: “Steven Tyler got more publicity on his song request than he’s gotten in ten years. Good for him!”

Queen

Express Newspapers via Getty Images

If anyone was going to try and clumsily appropriate the message of We Are The Champions in their political campaign, it was going to be Donald Trump, right?

Guitarist Brian May assured one fan in 2016: “I will make sure we take what steps we can to dissociate ourselves from Donald Trump’s unsavoury campaign.”

However, in August 2020, the band admitted it had been “an uphill battle” to get the Trump campaign to stop using their songs.

Isaac Hayes

via Associated Press

Shortly after Celiné Dion’s immediately-iconic message to Trump, the family of Isaac Hayes – who died in 2008 – also took issue with the presidential hopeful for playing Hold On, I’m Comin’, a Sam & Dave song written by the singer and actor, at his rallies.

Isaac’s son, Isaac Hayes III, shared a legal letter on social media, revealing he and his family were planning to sue Trump for 134 counts of “copyright infringement”, and claiming they had previously requested multiple times that the Republican candidate not play Hold On I’m Comin’ at his rallies.
