Sam Taylor-Johnson Addresses Scrutiny Of 23-Year Age Gap With Husband

Filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson is acknowledging the intense scrutiny that she and husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson face over their age difference.

“There are times where it’s uncomfortable,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Wednesday.

“Most of the time we zone it out and stay pretty private,” she added. “We tend to retreat. Kids and school runs keep you pretty grounded.”

The acclaimed Hollywood director is 57, while Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who is reportedly being considered as the next James Bond, is 33.

The two met while working on her directorial debut ― a 2009 John Lennon biopic called Nowhere Boy ― when the actor was in his late teens and she was in her early 40s.

The two welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Wylda Rae, in 2010. The couple had a second daughter, Romy Hero, shortly before they tied the knot in 2012.

Sam Taylor-Johnson also has two other daughters, Angelica and Jessie Phoenix Jopling, from a previous marriage.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson recently suggested to Rolling Stone UK that he’s always been mature for his age.

“What you gotta realise … is that what most people were doing in their twenties, I was doing when I was 13,” he said in an interview published last month.

“You’re doing something too quickly for someone else? I don’t understand that,” he added. “What speed are you supposed to enjoy life at? It’s bizarre to me.”

His wife seems to take a similar approach to relationships, saying in a Guardian story last week that she’s “quite instinctual” and moves at her own pace.

“I’ve gone feet first into everything in my life. I’m always, ‘This seems amazing’, and I jump straight in and go through the experience, whether good or bad,” she explained. “It’s definitely a ‘Fuck it, let’s go with it’ approach. And I’m a great believer that the heart overrides everything. Love conquers all.”

Caitlyn Jenner’s 2-Word Send-Off To OJ Simpson Is Pure Ice

Caitlyn Jenner isn’t shedding any tears over OJ Simpson’s death.

“Good Riddance #OJSimpson,” the Olympian tweeted Thursday morning, just hours after Simpson’s family announced he had died of cancer at the age of 76.

Jenner has long had sour feelings for Simpson.

In her 2017 memoir The Secrets of My Life, she described her fellow athlete as “the most narcissistic, egocentric, neediest asshole in the world of sports I had ever seen”.

Over the years, Jenner also repeatedly claimed without merit that she believed the late NFL running back was responsible for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman.

Caitlyn Jenner posted "Good Riddance" to O.J. Simpson after news of his death.

“I knew he did it,” Jenner told Andy Cohen in 2017. “There was three people at the crime scene: DNA evidence, three people at the crime scene. Pick a murderer. How hard is that?”

Jenner apparently got to witness Simpson’s bombshell double murder trial firsthand.

Her then-wife Kris Jenner was a close friend of Brown Simpson and was previously married to Robert Kardashian Sr, Simpson’s defence attorney.

Simpson was acquitted of murder charges in October 1995 but was found liable for Goldman and Brown Simpson’s deaths in a civil suit almost two years later.

Doja Cat Has Spicy Reaction To Rumors That She Dissed Cardi B On New Track

Doja Cat is clearing the air about her rumoured jabs at fellow rapper Cardi B.

After a track from the upcoming deluxe version of her Scarlet album leaked on the internet, many fans began speculating that the Agora Hills performer took a shot at Cardi in her lyrics.

In one snippet from her new rumoured song, Acknowledge Me, that’s been circulating on social media, Doja rapped: “You out here actin’ like you sniffin’ on some Carly Rae/ Cartier on you, but you walkin’ like you Cardi B.”

On Wednesday, the Grammy winner addressed the rumours on X while revealing one of her favourite songs from the new project.

“DISRESPECTFUL is one of my Top 3 [favourite tracks],” Doja wrote, prompting a fan to question: “OK, but which one did you whack Cardi B on?”

Doja quickly shut down the purported diss, writing back: “None of them get a fuckin life.”

Cardi B has not yet publicly addressed Doja’s statement.

Doja also responded to another fan who mistook the lyrics from Acknowledge Me as a nod to rapper Coi Leray.

“I have no idea what that means. Maybe I have the Coi Leray part wrong? Either way, walking like you’re Cardi B feels like props. We’ve seen Cardi walk… Mama’s bad,” the user wrote.

Clarifying her lyrics, Doja simply replied, “Carly Rae,” referring to the Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen.

Last week, the Woman star called out her fans for mocking the texture of her hair after she posted the cover art for her upcoming single, Masc, which features a close-up image of her natural hair, on social media.

Doja told her detractors to stop comparing her tight curl pattern, known as 4C hair, to “sheep and pubes and carpet and popcorn and shit like that,” according to footage shared by Pop Base on X.

“We got to move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow,” she said, adding, “I can’t tell you what to do. I’m not your fucking parents. I don’t want to say too much.”

Elizabeth Hurley Responds To Rumour She Took Prince Harry’s Virginity

Elizabeth Hurley has insisted she’s never seen Prince Harry’s crown jewels.

On Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the British actor addressed a wild theory that she took the royal’s virginity thanks to a vague passage in his memoir, Spare.

“That was ludicrous!” she told host Andy Cohen, according to a clip published by the New York Post.

“He said, ‘She was English. She was older than me. It was in Gloucestershire.’ And [people] were like, ‘Ah, it’s Elizabeth.’ It was absurd. It was ridiculous.”

Elizabeth also reportedly told aNDY that she’s “never met him in my life”, according to the Post.

“She liked horses, quite a lot and… treated me not unlike a young stallion,” he wrote. “Quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me off to graze.

“Among the many things about it that were wrong: It happened in a grassy field behind a busy pub.”

While Elizabeth denied knowing Prince Harry in real life, the rumour may have been spurred by the star’s love for horses — and a business transaction she once had with another royal.

Elizabeth sold a three-year-old filly named Memory to Queen Elizabeth II in 2011 for a reported 500,000 pounds (about $633,000), according to Horse & Hound.

The Austin Powers performer is also known for her cheeky and straightforward personality, which seems to somewhat match the description of the unnamed woman in Spare.

In 2015, during another interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Hurley was asked why her 13-year relationship with fellow English actor Hugh Grant didn’t work out.

It was a loaded question, being that Hugh was arrested in 1995 after being caught in a car with a sex worker while he still was dating Elizabeth.

In response to the question, she made a jokey face acknowledging the elephant in the room but opted to share her reason for the split.

“He used to really annoy me,” Elizabeth said. “I mean, I love him, but he’s very annoying. …My friends used to call him Grump-elstiltskin.”

Gwyneth Paltrow Gives A 2-Word Answer On If She Would Try Polyamory

From becoming the spokesperson for the so-called benefits of vaginal steaming to concocting a viral vagina-scented candle, Gwyneth Paltrow hasn’t been one to shy away from branching out from the norm.

However, there’s one thing the Oscar-winning actor isn’t willing to delve into.

While hosting a Q&A session on her Instagram story last Friday, Gwyneth was asked by a fan if she would ever consider being in a polyamorous relationship, according to People.

“No thanks!” she wrote in response.

The Avengers star clarified that although she’s not a fan of the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, she’s not side-eyeing anyone who wants to double up on spouses.

“Not for me but [I] have no judgment. I’m a one man kinda gal,” she said.

Gwyneth is married to TV writer Brad Falchuk. They tied the knot in 2018.

She is the stepmother to her husband’s two children, Isabella and Brody Falchuk, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Suzanne Bukinik.

Prior to Brad, Gwyneth was married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, with whom she shares two children: Apple and Moses Martin.

In October of last year, Gwyneth gushed about her husband in an interview with Bustle.

“I love my husband so much, so that’s really shifted things for me,” she said when asked if she feels freed of the male gaze the older she’s gotten.

“I probably don’t walk into a room the way I used to walk into a room because of that.”

“I feel really lucky. He’s a great guy, and he’s my best friend,” the Shakespeare In Love star added.

Rebel Wilson Opens Up About Working With Sacha Baron Cohen After ‘A*****e’ Jibe

Rebel Wilson has reflected on her past work with Sacha Baron Cohen, which she has described as the “worst professional experience of my career”.

Last month, the Pitch Perfect star made headlines when she posted a video on Instagram, in which she referred to an undisclosed former co-star who she’d written about in her upcoming memoir Rebel Rising.

“I worked with a massive asshole, and yeah, now I definitely have a ‘no assholes’ policy,” she explained. “The chapter on said asshole is chapter 23. That guy was a massive asshole.”

In a follow-up Instagram story post shared a few days later, Rebel told her followers: “I will not be bullied or silenced by high priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The ‘asshole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen.”

At the time, a spokesperson for Sacha – who worked with Rebel in the 2016 film Grimsby – told HuffPost UK: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production…”

Rebel reflected further on her work with Sacha in an interview with the Sunday Times published over the weekend.

“It’s one thing for someone who is fat to exploit their size for comedy, but it’s another for somebody else to humiliate you,” the Australian star claimed, saying she felt “disrespected” on set, particularly due to her character’s revealing outfits, but didn’t want to speak out in case she were to be labelled a “troublemaker”.

Rebel said she felt “like I was something to be laughed at and degraded because of my size”, noting her character was “demeaned” in certain scenes.

According to the Times, Rebel later returned to sets for reshoots, to which she recalled: “The fact that I then went back… I felt ashamed of myself. Why do I have such low self-worth?”

In her book, the Times quotes her as saying: “I’m sharing my story now because the more women talk about things like this, hopefully the less it happens. And hopefully fewer women have to work harder just to respect themselves.”

The newspaper also writes that the Borat creator “refutes [Rebel’s] claims about her experiences on the set of Grimsby”.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s team reiterated his original statement when contacted for comment by HuffPost UK.

Rebel previously opened up about her working relationship with the Borat creator during a 2014 radio interview with KIIS FM.

“Sacha is so outrageous,” she said a decade ago, as reported by Australia’s Courier Mail outlet.

“Every single day he’s like, ‘Rebel, can you just go naked in this scene?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’.

“Sacha and I have the same agent in America and I’m like, ‘Sacha, I’m going to call our agent Sharon and tell her how much you are harassing me’.

“Every day he’s like, ’Just go naked, it will be funny. Remember in Borat when I did that naked scene? It was hilarious’.”

She continued: “On the last day I thought I’d obviously won the argument and he got a body double to do the naked scene.

“Then in the last scene … he was like, ‘Rebel can you just stick your finger up my butt?’ And I went, ‘What do you mean Sacha? That’s not in the script.’ “And he’s like, ‘Look, I’ll just pull down my pants, you just stick your finger up my butt, it’ll be a really funny bit’.”

Rebel concluded: “You don’t wanna be a diva so I [said] I’ll slap you once on the butt and that’s it.”

This article has been updated to include a response from Sacha Baron Cohen via his spokesperson.

Shakira Shares The Surprise Reason She Isn’t A Fan Of Barbie Movie

Shakira would’ve liked to have seen a bit more “Kenergy” in the 2023 blockbuster Barbie.

In an interview with Allure published on Monday, the Colombian pop singer shared her less-than-glowing take on Greta Gerwig’s acclaimed movie, which starred Margot Robbie in the title role.

“My sons absolutely hated it. They felt that it was emasculating,” she said, referring to her sons, 11-year-old Milan and nine-year-old Sasha, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Piqué. “And I agree, to a certain extent.”

The three-time Grammy winner said she wanted her sons “to feel powerful too” while “respecting women,” something she felt Barbie didn’t adequately portray.

“I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women without robbing men of their possibility to be men, to also protect and provide,” Shakira said.

“I believe in giving women all the tools and the trust that we can do it all without losing our essence, without losing our femininity.

“I think that men have a purpose in society and women have another purpose as well. We complement each other, and that complement should not be lost.”

“Just because a woman can do it all doesn’t mean she should?” journalist Patricia Alfonso Tortolani asked on social media in response, with Shakira replying: “Why not share the load with people who deserve to carry it, who have a duty to carry it as well?”

Released in July last year, Barbie debuted to praise from critics and was a tremendous hit, raking in over $1 billion at the box office worldwide.

The movie also garnered a total of eight Academy Award nominations, including acting nods for Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera.

Despite the accolades Barbie received, a number of dissenting voices did emerge. Among those was director Oliver Stone, who criticised Ryan Gosling for not focusing on “more serious films”.

“Ryan Gosling is wasting his time if he’s doing that shit for money,” he told City A.M. in June last year. “He shouldn’t be a part of this infantilisation of Hollywood.

“Now it’s all fantasy, fantasy, fantasy, including all the war pictures: fantasy, fantasy.”

When Deadline reprinted some of his City A.M. interview in January, the Natural Born Killers director clarified that his remarks on Barbie were made before he’d had a chance to view the movie in its entirety.

“I was able to see Barbie in July and appreciated the film for its originality and its themes,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “I found the filmmakers’ approach certainly different than what I expected. I apologise for speaking ignorantly.”
