Taylor Swift Has A Massive Surprise For Fans As She Unveils New Album The Tortured Poets Department

Taylor Swift had an epic surprise for her fans on the morning of her latest album’s release – 15 more tracks than they bargained for.

On Friday, the record-breaking Grammy winner unveiled The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th album overall, made up of 16 new songs including collaborations with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine.

But Swifties wound up getting more than they bargained for when, just hours after the release, Taylor revealed she had something else up her sleeve.

The Tortured Poets Department is a secret DOUBLE album,” she revealed.

“I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past two years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours.”

And yeah… fans were left pretty stunned by the announcement:

When the first half of the collection was released, Taylor told fans: “[The Tortured Poets Department is] an anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time – one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure.

“This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted.

“This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it.”

At 31 songs in total (the reverse of her “lucky number”, 13), The Tortured Poets Department is officially Taylor’s longest album to date.

Like the first half, the second is produced by frequent Taylor collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dresser, with intriguing song titles including Chloe Or Sam Or Sophia Or Marcus, Imgonnagetyouback, ThanK you AIMee and So High School.

It also features the five “bonus” tracks that had previously been announced for different versions of The Tortured Poets Department’s physical release.

Brian Cox Pulls Zero Punches When It Comes To Joaquin Phoenix’s ‘Appalling’ Napoleon Performance

Brian Cox’s assessment of Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in Napoleon was always Logan Roy-esque in its bluntness.

Earlier this week, the Succession star put in an appearance at HitFest where he was interviewed by BBC News anchor Clive Myrie.

When the conversation turned to Ridley Scott’s recent Napoleon biopic – which divided opinion upon its release last year – the Emmy winner made his feelings clear.

“It’s terrible,” Brian said, as reported by the Evening Standard. “A truly terrible performance by Joaquin Phoenix. It really is appalling. I don’t know what he was thinking.

“I think it’s totally his fault and I don’t think Ridley Scott helps him. I would have played it a lot better than Joaquin Phoenix, I tell you that. You can say it’s good drama. No – it’s lies.”

He added of Napoleon’s Oscar-winning star: “I think he’s well-named. Joaquin…wha-keen… wacky. It’s a sort of wacky performance.”

Brian was similarly critical of another historical drama, 1995’s Braveheart, branding it “a load of nonsense” and “a bollocks” (although he did praise Mel Gibson’s “wonderful” performance in the lead role).

And as for Method acting, the controversial technique employed by his former co-star Jeremy Strong?

“Oh no that’s all bollocks. It’s a kind of nonsense,” he insisted. “We’re transmitters. That’s what we are as actors. We transmit energy.”

During a Town & Country magazine interview last year, Brian was similarly critical of Method acting, insisting his “fucking gifted” colleague should “celebrate [his] gift” and “go back to [his] trailer and have a hit of marijuana” rather than putting himself through so much in the name of acting.

“It’s fucking annoying, don’t get me going on it…” he said of Jeremy’s technique.

Warwick Davis Pays Emotional Tribute Following The Death Of His Wife Samantha, Aged 53

Warwick Davis has announced the death of his wife of more than 30 years, Samantha, at the age of 53.

On Wednesday evening, the Star Wars performer shared a statement with BBC News confirming that Samantha, a fellow actor and the founder of the charity Little People UK, had died on 24 March.

Describing his wife as his “most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career”, Warwick said: “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.”

He continued: “She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes.”

“With her by my side, I was sure I could achieve anything, it was like having a super-power,” he added. “Without Sammy, there would have been no Tenable quiz show, no Willow series. No Idiot Abroad series three.”

Warwick and Samantha met in 1988 on the set of the film Willow, in which he played the titular sorcerer, and eventually married in 1991.

Their grown-up children, Harrison and Annabelle, told the BBC their mother’s “love and happiness carried us through our whole lives”.

Warwick and Samantha also had a son, Lloyd, who died just days after he was born, and another, George, who was stillborn.

As well as her charity work, Samantha appeared in the children’s TV show Through The Dragon’s Eye, and shared the screen with her husband in films like the comedy-horror Leprechaun 2 and the final film in the Harry Potter series.

She and her family also appeared in the ITV travel series Weekend Escapes With Warwick Davis in 2014.

Robert Downey Jr Explains Why Acting In Oppenheimer Was Like ‘Picking Fly S**t Out Of Pepper’

Following his Oscar win for his performance in Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. has likened acting in the historical drama to “picking fly s**t out of pepper”.

In an Esquire interview published online last week, Robert explained how filming the US miniseries The Sympathizer helped him “unwind” from the rigour of his work on Christopher Nolan’s 2023 movie.

“I knew that playing Strauss, in Oppenheimer, was going to be like picking fly shit out of pepper—that it was going to be extremely exacting, that it was going to be… not confining, but liberating by its varied implicit limitations of what my usual toolbox is,” he said.

In Oppenheimer, Robert portrays Atomic Energy Commission member Lewis Strauss, the nemesis of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

Meanwhile, he plays multiple roles in The Sympathizer, which US broadcaster HBO describes as an “espionage thriller and cross-culture satire” based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.

In a W Magazine interview published online in January, the former Marvel actor said that playing Strauss was “counterintuitive for me”.

“I know that we’re all mixtures of what our persona is and who we really are. Nolan was inviting me to turn the mirror onto an unexplored portion of myself,” he said.

“And the character, to me, is everybody who has ever felt slighted by somebody who was more important than them. It gave me a lot of time to reflect. I wondered if I’ve come off like that to people in the past. And I wondered if I were them, if I wouldn’t seek to destroy me.”

David Beckham Shares Amazing Candid Family Photos To Mark Victoria’s 50th Birthday

David Beckham took us all on a nostalgia tribute as he shared an emotional tribute to his wife Victoria on her 50th birthday.

On Wednesday morning, the former England striker shared a montage of personal family photos and videos, which also included footage from Victoria’s days in the Spice Girls and her fashion career, to commemorate her big day.

The video ended with candid clips of Victoria at home with the couple’s four children, as well as scenes of the A-list couple working out and taking dance lessons together.

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife,” David wrote. “As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished, achieved and what you have built, Posh Spice, business woman and of course marrying an England captain.

“But your biggest success[es] are your children, you guide them, love them and teach them… they love you beyond words, we all love you so much. Have a special day you deserve it all.”

He concluded: “50 and fit… I AM BEING HONEST.”

“I love you all so much,” Victoria then commented underneath David’s post.

David and Victoria’s eldest children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz also posted their own special messages on their mum’s 50th.

The couple are also parents to a 12-year-old daughter, Harper, who does not have social media.

David and Victoria have been married since 1999, having begun dating two years earlier.

Interest in the pair skyrocketed last year thanks to David’s hit Netflix documentary, titled simply Beckham, although many viewers conceded that it was actually his wife who wound up stealing every scene she was in.

Daniel Radcliffe Admits Fearing A Harry Potter Co-Star ‘Hated’ Him: ‘I Was Terrified By Him’

Daniel Radcliffe has opened up about his working relationship with Alan Rickman, sharing that he was once “terrified” of his former Harry Potter co-star.

The two began working together in the first Harry Potter film, in which Daniel made his debut as a child actor playing the title character, while Alan portrayed Potions professor Severus Snape.

In a new interview with the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Daniel admitted to being initially “so intimidated” by the late Die Hard actor when they first began working together.

“How can you not be by that voice?” he said. “Even hearing that voice, you forget quite how low it was until it echoes through you.

“I was so intimidated by him for the first three movies. I was terrified by him and was like, ‘This guy hates me’.”

As time went on, the pair eventually became close, particularly after Alan noticed Daniel’s work ethic.

“Somewhere along the lines he saw that I really wanted to do this and work at it,” Daniel said.

“He cut short a vacation in Canada to come and see me in Equus. He saw every piece of stage work I did when he was alive. He would take me out afterwards and we would talk about it.”

Daniel added: “He was one of the first people to say like, ‘You should look at voice coaching and investigate all this stuff’.”

After being played a clip from 2016 in which Alan sang his praises, Daniel said: “I am so lucky. To hear him say that is really lovely. Thank you for showing me that.”

In the clip in question Alan was heard saying: “As much as I was doing it for seven weeks, they were doing it for 52 weeks. This was their life from 12 to 22.

“And you would watch it from the sidelines at times and throw the odd lifeline in because there was so little time for that.”

The Love Actually actor added that he felt “huge pride” watching Daniel in the Broadway musical How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.

“How dare he be dancing as well as the New York dancers,” he joked. “He worked at it.”

In 2022, Alan Rickman’s diaries were published, in which his changing feelings towards Harry Potter’s younger cast members were documented.

He wrote in one 2008 entry: “One minute he was 12 now he’s 19. When did that happen? And he’s sensitive, articulate and smart.”

“I’m very excited about it,” the British actor revealed. “Natalie and I are both very excited. I’m sure you’ll see much more of that.”

Henry and Natalie first announced they were an item in an Instagram post back in April 2021.

“This is me looking quietly confident shortly before my beautiful and brilliant love, Natalie, destroys me at chess,” he wrote at the time, alongside a photo of the pair sitting at a chessboard.

A few months later, they made their first public appearance together at the premiere of Henry’s film Enola Holmes 2.

Per Elle, Natalie previously worked at Legendary Entertainment, the company which helped produce Enola Holmes, as well as Man Of Steel, another of Henry’s films.

Back in 2018, Henry said that it was his “biggest dream in life” to start a family.

A year earlier, he told Men’s Health magazine that his fitness was important to him as he wanted to be an active father in the future.

If I ever have kids one day, I want to be the dad who’s running round after them,” he said, adding: “I want to be a fit and healthy dad, not hobbling round like, ‘OK, I’m just going to catch a breather’.”
